About me
Loretta Nootchtai has been with the Anishinabek Nation for close to five years employed as the Health Transformation Project Manager.
Loretta’s caring demeanor pointed her into the direction of pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN) through Laurentian University with her main goal being to help her community and others in their health and wellness journeys.
Her previous work experience includes management positions in Long Term Care, Education & Social Services within First Nation communities. Her roles also involved project development and management in areas related to health and wellness. This included the extension of a Semi-independent Long Term Care facility and the development of a Wellness Hub in collaboration with various departments, governing bodies and consultants.
Loretta is a member of Atikameksheng Anishinabek and lives in Sudbury, Ontario with her husband and two sons. She is a mother of three and a grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters. She enjoys all forms of art, the outdoors and keeping physically active and shares her passion for these with her family. It isn’t out of the norm to see them as a family unit playing volleyball, lifting weights at the gym, fishing, or hunting for large game.
